An award-winning wedding and function venue in the Perth Hills, Darlington Estate needed an update while preserving its beloved rustic charm. At the heart of the redesign is a new bar featuring bespoke woodwork, forming a striking focal point set against a patinated copper backdrop. Carefully curated architectural and decorative lighting were integrated to highlight key design elements. Accent lighting emphasises the bar area, drawing attention to its craftsmanship. Overhead, a new timber-lined ceiling maintains the venue’s original warmth and character, while enhancing the sense of intimacy and connection to its natural surroundings. Thoughtful material selections and subtle updates throughout ensure the venue feels both elevated and familiar, balancing its history with a refined, contemporary edge.
